  • Easy to adopt

Unlimited forms and submissions for free, with payments, uploads, logic and the API, and one flat Pro price for a whole team.

Tally’s free plan has no form or submission cap within its fair use policy and includes the features other builders keep for paid plans: conditional logic, Stripe payments with no Tally fee, file uploads, signatures, webhooks and the API. Pro, at $290 a year, removes the branding and adds custom domains, partial submissions and unlimited team members, with no per-seat price. Form data is stored in Europe on every plan, and the data processing agreement is part of the terms.

  • No submission cap on the free planThe pricing page offers unlimited forms and submissions free within fair use; the fair use policy names 50,000 submissions a month, kept up for three to four months, as high volume.Evidence: Pricing page and fair use policy (2026-10-16)

Review

Review from public pages

Written from Tally's public pages (pricing, security or privacy, and docs) as read on Oct 16, 2026. We did not sign up, and no hands-on run is published yet.

What the public pages show

We read Tally's pricing page and the prices in its page data, the fair use policy, billing, refund, Pro and Business help articles, the help center articles on logic, payments, file uploads, signatures, partial submissions, custom domains, webhooks, the API, team collaboration, two-factor authentication, GDPR and the data processing agreement, the roadmap, the terms and its blog on Oct 16, 2026; we did not sign up or call the API for this review.

The pricing page shows the annual price per month by default ($24 for Pro, $74 for Business); the help center gives the full prices: $29 a month or $290 a year for Pro, $89 or $890 for Business. Most features are free. The fair use policy explains the limits behind "unlimited": consistently over 50,000 submissions a month, or over 100 GB of uploads a month or 500 GB stored, leads to a custom plan billed quarterly on top of the subscription, at a price the pages do not give.

A few points need a question to Tally. The refund policy refers to the Terms, which do not mention refunds. The billing page sets the currency by IP location and the Terms by whether the user is in the EU. Tally's blog of Sep 22, 2026 reports an August incident at a third-party analytics tool that exposed account email addresses and hashed passwords; it says no form data was accessed.

Strengths

  • Unlimited free submissions

The free plan has no form or submission cap within fair use, with logic, payments, file uploads, signatures, webhooks and the API.

    vs Typeform: Fillout’s free plan allows 1,000 responses a month, Jotform’s 100 and Typeform’s 10.

  • Full form features on the scenario plan

Pro includes partial submissions, custom domains, uploads of any size and drop-off analytics, so every collection feature we score is on the $290-a-year plan.

vs Typeform: Fillout keeps partial submissions and custom domains on Business ($900 a year); Typeform and Jotform keep custom domains on Enterprise.

  • Unlimited team members at one price

Pro has no per-seat charge: the FAQ says there is no limit on the users you invite.

vs Typeform: Jotform’s plans below Enterprise are for one user; Typeform Plus has 3 seats.

  • Data stored in Europe

The GDPR article says all form data is encrypted in transit and at rest and stored in Europe, and the DPA is accepted with the terms, with no signature needed.

vs Typeform: Typeform offers EU hosting to new Enterprise accounts only.

Things to know

  • Security certifications in progress

The roadmap lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 as in progress, and the blog expects both by the end of 2026. HIPAA is not offered.

Workaround: The DPA, the subprocessor list and two-factor authentication are available on every plan.

  • No SSO, roles or audit log

No page offers SAML SSO or an audit log, and every member of an organisation has the same rights to create, edit and delete forms.

  • "Unlimited" has fair use limits

Sustained use over 50,000 submissions a month, 100 GB of uploads a month or 500 GB stored leads to a custom plan billed quarterly, with no published price.

Workaround: The fair use policy defines "consistently" as three to four months in a row.

  • No trial and no refunds

The billing page says Tally does not offer free trials, and the refund policy refunds only after a prolonged technical outage.

Workaround: Most features can be used on the free plan before upgrading, and Pro is sold month to month.

Pricing reality

Tally bills a flat price per plan for the whole organisation, with no per-seat or per-response charge. For our scenario, 1,000 responses a month without Tally branding, Pro costs $290 a year, or $24.17 a month (computed; the page shows $24), before tax; month to month it is $29. That includes unlimited team members, custom domains and partial submissions. Business ($890 a year) adds data retention control and respondent email verification. Costs rise only above the fair use limits, through a custom plan priced on past usage. Nonprofits get 30% off Pro for as long as they subscribe, and education 30% off for a year.

Exit path

Every plan can download all responses as CSV, sync to Google Sheets or read them through the free API. If Pro lapses, team members lose access to shared workspaces until it is restored; the pages do not say forms or responses are deleted. Deleting the account removes forms and submissions, and backups are purged within 90 days. Plans renew automatically.
