Privacy policy
Proofyo has no visitor accounts and sets no cookies of its own for visitors. Ads on the site are served by Google AdSense, which does use cookies. This page explains both.

Who we are
Proofyo (proofyo.com) publishes reviews and comparisons of SaaS products. For anything about this policy or your data, email [email protected].
Advertising and cookies
We show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Where the law requires consent, such as in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google shows a consent message before personalized ads are served, and you can change your choice later from that message. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalized ads, which use cookies for frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement.
Advertising does not change any fact, score or ranking on the site; see the methodology.
What we keep in your browser
Two settings are saved in your browser's local storage and never sent to us: your color theme (light, dark or system) and the products you added to the compare tray. Clearing your site data removes them.
What our servers record
- Rate limits. To stop abuse of search, the API and image endpoints, your IP address (or the /64 prefix of an IPv6 address) is used as a counter key that expires automatically within an hour.
- Reach counts. We count requests per day by channel (pages, API, feed, llms.txt) and by class (for example a person, a search crawler or an AI assistant). Only the counts are stored, not your IP address, browser details or the pages you visited.
- Server logs. Our web server writes standard access logs (IP address, time, requested URL, browser user agent) to keep the site running and secure. They are kept for a limited time and are not used for advertising or profiling.
API keys and email
If you ask for an API key, we keep the name and contact you give us with the key, along with when it was last used and how many requests it made, so we can manage limits and reach you about the key. If you email us, we keep the conversation to answer you. We do not sell personal data or share it with anyone except as described here.
Children
The site is meant for professionals choosing software and is not directed at children.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and use the opt-out links above. To ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it (for example the contact on an API key or an email thread), write to [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
