Bottom line
From its public pages, Pipedrive is a straightforward pipeline CRM with SSO and the API on every plan and sales automation on Growth at $39 a seat. It has no custom objects or HIPAA path, and two pages disagree on which plan has the audit log.
From its public pages, Zoho CRM puts the most on its entry plan: pipelines, workflows, cadences, forecasting, custom modules, audit logs and HIPAA settings for $14 a user, with SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Quotes start on Professional, and one older comparison page needs updating.
From its public pages, HubSpot Sales Hub is the easiest start here: a free CRM, then Starter at a $20 list price with pipelines, automations and calling. Sequences, forecasting and SSO need Professional and its onboarding fee, and a few HubSpot pages disagree on details.
From its public pages, Attio is the strongest free start here and builds its records from email and calendar, with workflows and the API on every plan. Sequences and custom objects need Pro, SSO needs Enterprise, and its compliance file is ISO 27001 without SOC 2.

Review
Review from public pages
Written from Pipedrive's public pages (pricing, security or privacy, and docs) as read on Oct 16, 2026. We did not sign up, and no hands-on run is published yet.
What the public pages show
We read Pipedrive's pricing page with its plan comparison and usage limits, the plans article in the Knowledge Base, articles on data security and hosting, SSO, export and calling, the Trust Center, the Terms of Service and the press kit on Oct 16, 2026; we did not sign up, start a trial or call the API. The pricing page refuses plain requests from our location, so we read it in a browser, where it showed US dollars; the Trust Center was read through a fetch from a US location.
The pricing page is clear: four plans with annual and monthly prices, a 14-day trial with no card, and a table of limits per plan (leads and deals, custom fields, reports, automations, sequences, email syncs, permission sets and API tokens). Prices exclude VAT, and the FAQ says implementation is free on plans over $400 a year.
A few points need a question to Pipedrive. The pricing page lists the device history and audit log on Ultimate only, while the plans article lists it on every plan. Add-ons are priced only as "starting from" figures on the pricing page. Some calling articles still use old plan names; the current comparison lists web-to-mobile calls and automatic call logging on every plan.
Strengths
SAML SSO on every plan
The plan comparison checks SAML single sign-on, 2FA and 2FA enforcement on Lite through Ultimate, and the SSO article says it is available on all plans.
vs HubSpot Sales Hub: HubSpot Sales Hub starts SSO on Professional; Attio keeps it on Enterprise.
Sequences and forecasts at $39
Growth adds two-way email sync, 50 automations, 5 sequences, deal and product revenue forecasts and a forecast view.
vs HubSpot Sales Hub: HubSpot Sales Hub starts sequences and forecasting on Professional at $90 a seat plus onboarding.
Limits stated per plan
The pricing page lists leads and deals, custom fields, reports, automations, sequences, email syncs and daily API tokens for each plan.
Audited and EU hosted
The Trust Center lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and the security article hosts EU sign-ups in Frankfurt or Dublin.
vs Attio: Attio lists ISO 27001 but no SOC 2 report.
Things to know
No custom objects
The plan comparison lists custom fields (30 to 500 per company), pipeline-specific and formula fields, but no custom objects.
Workaround: Custom fields on leads, deals, contacts and products cover many extra data needs.
Not for HIPAA data
The Terms of Service say the services are not designed to comply with industry-specific regulations such as HIPAA.
Permissions and audit log on higher plans
Custom permission sets start on Premium ($59 a seat, annual); the pricing page lists the audit log and security alerts on Ultimate ($79).
Workaround: Visibility options and the security dashboard are on every plan.
Fees are non-refundable
The terms say all fees are non-refundable, plans renew automatically, and seats can only be reduced before the renewal date.
Workaround: Month-to-month prices are published for every plan.
Pricing reality
Pipedrive bills per seat per month; annual terms are up to 42% below monthly. For our scenario, 5 users on Growth cost 5 × $39 = $195 a month on annual terms ($2,340 a year), or 5 × $49 = $245 month to month (computed), before VAT. That covers unlimited pipelines, two-way email sync, 50 automations, 5 sequences, forecasts and the API. Premium ($295 a month for 5, computed) adds custom permission sets, LeadBooster and Smart Docs; Ultimate ($395) adds security alerts and a sandbox. Add-ons are per company: LeadBooster and Smart Docs from $32.50, Campaigns from $13.33, Projects from $16.66 and Web Visitors from $41 a month.
Exit path
Global admins can export all data for each item type (leads, deals, organizations, people, products, activities, notes and files) as XLSX or CSV from the Export data tab, one item type at a time; the API is on every plan. The terms say data is deleted within 180 days after termination, and an unpaid trial account may be deleted 2 weeks after the trial ends.
