Bottom line
From its public pages, Zoho CRM puts the most on its entry plan: pipelines, workflows, cadences, forecasting, custom modules, audit logs and HIPAA settings for $14 a user, with SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Quotes start on Professional, and one older comparison page needs updating.
From its public pages, HubSpot Sales Hub is the easiest start here: a free CRM, then Starter at a $20 list price with pipelines, automations and calling. Sequences, forecasting and SSO need Professional and its onboarding fee, and a few HubSpot pages disagree on details.
From its public pages, Pipedrive is a straightforward pipeline CRM with SSO and the API on every plan and sales automation on Growth at $39 a seat. It has no custom objects or HIPAA path, and two pages disagree on which plan has the audit log.
From its public pages, Attio is the strongest free start here and builds its records from email and calendar, with workflows and the API on every plan. Sequences and custom objects need Pro, SSO needs Enterprise, and its compliance file is ISO 27001 without SOC 2.

Review
Review from public pages
Written from Zoho CRM's public pages (pricing, security or privacy, and docs) as read on Oct 16, 2026. We did not sign up, and no hands-on run is published yet.
What the public pages show
We read Zoho CRM's pricing page with its annual and monthly toggle, the complete feature list (last updated May 12, 2026), the older edition comparison page, Zoho's compliance, HIPAA and data center pages, the Zoho Directory pricing page, the branding page and Help articles on the edition guide, profiles, audit logs, security controls, the Zoho Directory integration and HIPAA on Oct 16, 2026; we did not sign up, start a trial or call the API. The pricing page fills in prices by script and showed Zoho's US dollar prices in a browser.
The pricing page and the feature list agree on the main lines: Standard $14, Professional $23, Enterprise $40 and Ultimate $52 per user on annual terms, $20, $35, $50 and $65 month to month, a free edition for 3 users and a 15-day trial with no card. The edition guide in Help says Standard includes multiple pipelines, custom modules, workflows and email integration, and that Professional adds quotes, CPQ and inventory.
Two points need care. An older comparison page, last updated June 4, 2022 and still online, puts custom modules on Enterprise and assignment rules on Professional. The pricing page allows the free edition up to 10 exports, while the feature list says up to 10 exports per day. Single sign-on is configured in Zoho Directory, reached from CRM setup; the CRM pages do not tie it to an edition.
Strengths
Cadences, forecasting and custom modules for $14
Standard includes up to 5 pipelines, workflow rules, 20 cadences per module, sales forecasting, 10 custom modules and built-in calling.
vs HubSpot Sales Hub: HubSpot Sales Hub starts sequences and forecasting on Professional; Salesforce starts forecasting and custom objects on Pro Suite at $100.
SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and a HIPAA path
Zoho’s compliance page lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001; HIPAA settings are on Standard and up, with a BAA template requested from Zoho legal.
vs HubSpot Sales Hub: Pipedrive’s terms say it is not designed for HIPAA; HubSpot Sales Hub offers the BAA on Enterprise.
Audit logs and backups on Standard
The feature list puts audit logs and 2 free full data backups a month on Standard, with more backups at $12 each; Help says the audit log keeps 60 days by default and can be exported.
vs Pipedrive: Pipedrive’s pricing page lists the audit log on Ultimate.
A free edition for 3 users
The free edition covers leads, contacts, accounts, deals and workflow rules for up to 3 users and 5,000 records.
Things to know
Quotes start on Professional
Products, price books, quotes, sales orders, invoices and CPQ start on Professional at $23 per user on annual terms.
Workaround: The 15-day trial and month-to-month prices let a team test Professional before an annual term.
SSO through Zoho Directory
SAML single sign-on is configured in Zoho Directory, which syncs CRM users; Directory has a free version with no limit on Zoho apps, but the CRM pages do not tie SSO to an edition.
The free edition is small
The free edition has the default pipeline only, no email integration and 5,000 records; Standard holds 100,000 records.
One older comparison page disagrees
A comparison page last updated June 4, 2022 puts custom modules on Enterprise, while the pricing page, the May 2026 feature list and the edition guide put them on Standard.
Workaround: Rely on the complete feature list, which carries the newer date.
Pricing reality
Zoho bills per user per month. For our scenario, 5 users on Standard cost 5 × $14 = $70 a month on annual terms ($840 a year), or 5 × $20 = $100 month to month (computed), before local taxes. That covers pipelines, email integration, workflows, cadences, forecasting, custom modules, calling and audit logs. Quotes and CPQ need Professional ($115 a month for 5 users, computed); a sandbox and Zia AI need Enterprise ($200). Extra costs: file storage at $4.60 a month per 5 GB, extra data backups at $12 each, and optional paid support plans.
Exit path
Standard can export module data (up to 200,000 records per module, 100 exports a day) and request 2 free full data backups a month, with more at $12 each; the API is on every edition. We did not find a statement on how long data is kept after cancellation.
You want forecasting, custom modules and month-to-month billing at a fraction of the Pro Suite price.
Pick Salesforce Sales Cloud when
You want quotes on the same plan as custom objects and expect to grow into larger Salesforce editions.
Choose it if
You want cadences, forecasting and custom modules for $14 a user.
Your security review asks for SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 or a HIPAA BAA.
You need EU hosting chosen at sign-up.
Look elsewhere if
You need quotes and products on the entry plan.
You want SSO configured inside the CRM rather than through a directory service.
