Deploys, previews, functions, forms and a database in one credit balance, with unlimited team members on Pro for $20 a month.
Netlify bundles Git deploys, unlimited deploy previews, serverless functions, form handling, Blob storage and Netlify Database into one platform billed in credits. Pro starts at $20 a month for 3,000 credits with unlimited members and no seat charges, and Netlify's own comparison page says the free plan can be used for commercial projects. Usage stops at your credits unless you turn on auto recharge.
No seat charges on ProThe pricing FAQ says credit-based Pro plans no longer charge for any seat; the team gets unlimited members, plus free reviewers and Git contributors.Evidence: Pricing page (2026-10-15)
A bill that stops by defaultAuto recharge is off by default; when credits run out, projects pause until the next cycle, with notices at 50%, 75% and 100% of usage.Evidence: Pricing page FAQ (2026-10-15)
Forms and previews not meteredForm submissions are free and unlimited, and deploy previews, branch deploys and failed deploys use no credits.Evidence: Credit-based pricing plans docs (2026-10-15)
Best for
Teams of several people with modest traffic who want deploy previews, forms and functions without seat charges.
Good to know
Bandwidth draws 20 credits per GB, so data-heavy sites need a larger credit tier or credit packs.

Bottom line
From its public pages, Netlify suits teams with modest traffic: unlimited members on Pro, a free plan you may use commercially and spending that stops by default. Bandwidth is billed in credits, so data-heavy apps cost more here than on the other two.
From its public pages, Cloudflare Workers costs the least here by a wide margin for traffic-heavy apps, with SSO and audit logs on every plan. Plan for budget alerts that notify rather than stop, and an adapter for Next.js.
From its public pages, Render suits teams that want services and databases managed together, with no seat charges and audit logs on Pro. Bandwidth is the cost to watch: 1 TB a month adds $146.25 on Pro.
From its public pages, Vercel is the compliance and Next.js choice here: SOC 2, ISO 27001 and a BAA on Pro, and zero-configuration Next.js. It scores lower on this rubric because every developer is a seat, Hobby is non-commercial and Pro keeps runtime logs for 1 day.

Review
Review from public pages
Written from Netlify's public pages (pricing, security or privacy, and docs) as read on Oct 15, 2026. We did not sign up, and no hands-on run is published yet.
What the public pages show
We read Netlify's pricing page, its credit-based plan docs, its trust center and security page, and its Next.js docs on Oct 15, 2026; we did not sign up for this review. Accounts created since September 4, 2025 use credit-based plans; older accounts keep their legacy plans unless they switch, and the docs say switching cannot be undone.
The pricing page lists what draws credits: 15 per production deploy, 10 per GB-hour of compute, 20 per GB of bandwidth and 2 per 10,000 web requests, which include page views, asset requests, redirects and function calls. Pro tiers run from 3,000 credits for $20 to 20,000 for $126, tiers from 5,000 credits roll unused credits over for one cycle, and auto recharge adds 1,500 credits for $10.
The FAQ is plain about limits: when a project reaches its credit limit, all projects on the account pause until the next cycle unless auto recharge is on. The security page lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27018, PCI DSS and HIPAA, with detailed audit reports for Enterprise customers.
Strengths
No seat charges
Pro includes unlimited members for one fee; reviewers and Git contributors on public repos are free on every plan.
vs Vercel: Vercel charges $20 a month for each additional developer seat.
Free plan for commercial use
Netlify's own comparison page says its free plan can be used for commercial projects, and the free plan never bills: its 300 credits are a hard limit.
vs Vercel: Vercel’s Hobby plan is for personal, non-commercial use.
Spending stops by default
Auto recharge is off by default, so usage stops at your credits, with notices at 50%, 75% and 100%.
Compared: Cloudflare’s budget alerts notify but do not pause usage.
Forms and previews not metered
Form submissions are free and unlimited, and deploy previews and branch deploys use no credits.
Audit logs on Pro
Pro lists audit logs with 7-day history and keeps function logs 7 days.
vs Vercel: Vercel lists audit logs on Enterprise only.
Things to know
Bandwidth is the main cost
Each GB of bandwidth is 20 credits, about $0.13 at the Pro pack rate, so 1 TB a month is 20,000 credits.
Workaround: Pro credit tiers up to 20,000 credits ($126) cost less per credit than recharge packs.
One pause for all projects
If one project exceeds the credit limit, all projects on the account pause until the next cycle or until credits are added.
SSO and HIPAA on Enterprise
SAML SSO, SCIM, log drains and the HIPAA add-on are listed on Enterprise, and SOC 2 audit reports are for Enterprise customers.
Production deploys draw credits
Each production deploy draws 15 credits, so frequent releases add up; deploy previews and failed deploys are free.
Pricing reality
Netlify bills in credits. Free gives 300 a month as a hard limit, Personal $9 for 1,000, and Pro from $20 for 3,000 up to $126 for 20,000, with unlimited members. Auto recharge adds 1,500 credits for $10 on Pro. Credits go to bandwidth (20 per GB), web requests (2 per 10,000), compute (10 per GB-hour) and production deploys (15 each).
Our scenario needs 23,900 credits: 20,000 for 1 TB, 2,000 for 10 million requests, 1,000 for 100 GB-hours and 900 for 60 deploys. The lowest mix is the 15,000-credit tier ($95) plus six 1,500-credit packs ($60): $155 a month, by our arithmetic. Extra concurrent builds are $40 each.
Exit path
Netlify runs Next.js through the open-source OpenNext adapter, per its docs, and deploys from Git, the CLI or the API. Netlify Forms, Blobs, Database and Identity are Netlify services, so a move means replacing them.
You want built-in form handling and a bill that stops at your credits by default.
Pick Cloudflare Workers when
Your app moves a lot of data: Workers has no data transfer charge, while 1 TB on Netlify is 20,000 credits.
Choose it if
Several people deploy and you do not want seat charges.
You want spending to stop at a fixed amount by default.
You need form handling and deploy previews without extra services.
Look elsewhere if
Your site moves terabytes of data a month.
You need SAML SSO or a HIPAA BAA without an enterprise contract.
Bottom line
From its public pages, Netlify suits teams with modest traffic: unlimited members on Pro, a free plan you may use commercially and spending that stops by default. Bandwidth is billed in credits, so data-heavy apps cost more here than on the other two.

Read from the vendor's public pages on Oct 15, 2026. No hands-on run is published yet. How we check
We have not published a sign-up run for Netlify yet. The access facts above were read from its sign-up and pricing pages on Oct 15, 2026.
We read the pricing, security and docs pages of three hosting platforms on the same day and scored them on the same six indicators. How each one bills, what 3 developers with 10 million requests and 1 TB a month cost, and who should pick which.
