Bottom line
From its public pages, 1Password Business has the broadest certification list and the only listed monthly price here, at the highest figure for 25 users with SSO. Its lower score reflects price, gated current pentest reports and no self-hosting.
From its public pages, Bitwarden is the most complete package here for a 25-person company that needs SSO: the lowest price, public audits, open-source clients and a self-host option. SSO and policies sit on Enterprise rather than Teams.
From its public pages, LastPass Business is a straightforward self-serve buy for SSO, provisioning and SIEM export at $7 a user. Buyers will also weigh the 2022 incident, which LastPass documents on its own pages along with the changes it made.
From its public pages, Dashlane is the simplest buy for SSO: one self-serve plan at $8 a user includes it. Plan around annual-only billing and audit reports that need an access request.

Review
Review from public pages
Written from 1Password's public pages (pricing, security or privacy, and docs) as read on Oct 15, 2026. We did not sign up, and no hands-on run is published yet.
What the public pages show
We read 1Password's business and enterprise pricing pages, its security page and its help articles on security audits, unlock with SSO, automated provisioning and events reporting on Oct 15, 2026; we did not sign up for this review. The business pricing page has a monthly and yearly switch and two plans. Teams Starter Pack is a flat $24.95 a month billed annually for up to 10 users, with up to 10 more seats at $4.99 each. Business is $8.99 a user billed annually or $10.99 monthly, with a one-user minimum. Both have a 14-day trial with no credit card.
The plan table puts unlock with SSO, automated provisioning, SIEM event streaming, custom policies and reports on Business only. The SSO docs add details we had not expected: unlock with SSO uses OpenID Connect only, people in the Owners group cannot unlock with SSO, and it is not currently compatible with exporting data.
The security audits page lists SOC 2 Type II and four ISO certifications. Its public reports are from 2020 (ISE) and an earlier Onica audit; since November 2025, annual penetration test reports are distributed through the Trust Center.
Strengths
The broadest ISO list here
ISO 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27701, plus SOC 2 Type II.
vs Bitwarden: Bitwarden and Dashlane list ISO 27001 without the cloud and privacy extensions.
Monthly billing listed
Business is $10.99 a user billed monthly, so a company can start without an annual commitment.
vs Bitwarden: Dashlane lists annual billing only; Bitwarden does not list a monthly rate.
SIEM events and reports
Business streams sign-in attempts, item usage and audit events to SIEM tools, and adds custom usage reports.
Trial without a card
Both business plans have a 14-day trial with no credit card.
Developer tools on every plan
SSH key signing, Git commit signing, the CLI and SDKs are marked on both business plans.
Things to know
SSO starts on Business
Teams Starter Pack has no SSO or automated provisioning, and it stops at 20 users, so a 25-person company needs Business.
OIDC only for SSO
Unlock with SSO uses OpenID Connect; Owners cannot use it, and it is not compatible with data export until an administrator turns it off.
Current pentests via the Trust Center
The publicly linked audit reports are from 2020 and earlier; current penetration test reports are distributed through the Trust Center.
No self-hosting or client code stated
The pages we read describe no self-hosted server and no published client source code.
Pricing reality
1Password bills Business per user: $8.99 a month billed annually ($107.88 a year) or $10.99 monthly. For 25 people with SSO, that is 25 × $8.99 = $224.75 a month billed annually, or 25 × $10.99 = $274.75 billed monthly.
Teams Starter Pack is cheaper for small teams: $24.95 a month billed annually for up to 10 users, plus up to 10 seats at $4.99 each. At 20 users it comes to $74.85 a month, but it has no SSO and no room for a 25th user. The page card shows $2.49 a user; the FAQ gives $24.95 for 10. Training and a Customer Success Manager are listed for organizations with 101+ users.
Exit path
The SSO docs say unlock with SSO is not currently compatible with exporting data; an administrator can turn it off for the account to allow export. Events Reporting lets you keep 1Password activity in your own SIEM under your own retention.
You want to pay monthly, or a small team that does not need SSO yet wants the flat Teams Starter Pack.
Pick Dashlane when
You want SSO and SCIM for $8 a user, or SAML rather than OpenID Connect.
Choose it if
You want SSO and provisioning on monthly or annual terms.
Your vendor review asks for ISO 27017, 27018 or 27701 alongside SOC 2.
You have fewer than 20 people and do not need SSO yet (Teams Starter Pack).
Look elsewhere if
Your identity provider setup requires SAML for SSO.
You need recent audit reports you can download without a request, published client code or self-hosting.
Bottom line
From its public pages, 1Password Business has the broadest certification list and the only listed monthly price here, at the highest figure for 25 users with SSO. Its lower score reflects price, gated current pentest reports and no self-hosting.

We read the business pricing, security and help pages of three password managers on the same day and scored them on the same six indicators. Where SSO sits, what 25 users cost, how open each is about audits, and who should pick which.
